HISTORY OF A FLOWER AND A BUTTERFLY

Il soffio muto della tua anima ti faceva compagnia svaniva il tuo grido d'aiuto sotto le foglie del silenzio, come l'allegria di un tempo. Stavi là, fiore indolenzito nato per sbaglio in una terra di nessuno, ogni giorno, un vivere e morire, fra le sbarre di una prigione che chiamavi "casa", temendo gli istinti di un uomo, odiando le sue mani che toccano, segnano, feriscono. Eppure, hai rubato la forza del vento, le tue parole, respirate a fatica, d'un tratto diventavano... ali e tu, fiore calpestato, diventavi farfalla. Farfalla coraggiosa, avevi ali di passione e di parole, ali di lacrime e paura, ali di coraggio e di speranza. Ali, per sfidare il sole, e volare via. Lontano da quelle mani, da quella casa, da quel dolore. Via lontano. E ora sai che i fiori, se imparano a volare, diventano farfalle.

Beyond the aesthetical function, that is her proper, the poetry cannot escape to that of civil appointment. Its word must say that that cannot be said otherwise. It is this the liberty of the poetry. It is his spell, therefore, also face the theme of the pain of who suffer violences, instincts, horrors. Sometimes, inside the same boundaries houseservants, indifferent jails to the smothered and unheeded cries, defenseless people are alone, "stamped flowers", impotent to react. "History of a flower and a butterfly" is a lyric of report but also of hope, of courage, as the poetry must be. It is an invitation to put "wings", to "steal the strength of wind", "to challenge the sun", for "fly", to win the evil. It is a hard theme, that of the violence in family, that the poetess has make with delicacy of images and levity of language.
